How to Play

This is a standard game of chess. The goal is to checkmate your opponent's king.

Moving Pieces

1. Click on a piece to select it.

2. The square of the selected piece will be highlighted.

3. Click on a valid destination square to move the piece.

Rules

• White moves first.
• Players take turns moving one piece at a time.
• You can only move your own pieces.
• If your King is under attack (in "check"), you must make a move to get it out of check.
• Checkmate: If your King is in check and you have no legal moves to get out of check, you lose the game.
• Stalemate: If it's your turn to move, your King is NOT in check, but you have no legal moves, the game is a draw.
